I recently stayed at Mad Monkey in Potts Point for a few nights and had a great experience. The private room I stayed in was exactly as advertised, with a comfortable bed and clean linen. The location was brilliant, with easy access to the train station and plenty of options for dining nearby. The staff were friendly and provided helpful information. I particularly enjoyed the convenience of having a fridge in my room and 24-hour reception. I had a fantastic stay and would highly recommend this hotel.

The staff was wonderful and very helpful. They were always very eager to dispense great advice, book anything we'd need, and were generally great. I was surprised to see that, although the clientele was young, there really wasnt' noise after a certain hour - they were serious about making sure people in the neighborhood and hostel will be able to get some sleep. I would definitely recommend staying there, it's a great and quiet location.
I dont' really think the price justified the room we got.

The location of Jolly Swagman Backpackers is excellent, just a few minutes' walk from Kings Cross Station. The staff were friendly and provided helpful advice during my stay. The kitchen area was clean and well-stocked with cereal and bread for breakfast. The toilet and shower facilities were also clean, and there was a sink in my room, which was convenient. The WiFi worked well, allowing me to stay connected. I had a great experience and would definitely consider staying at this hostel again.

Great value for money! The hotel is conveniently located near the Kings Cross train station, making it easy to explore the area. The staff is friendly and attentive, and the basic amenities are kept clean. Loved having a sink and fridge in the room, and the TV channels had great options for watching sports. The hotel is very quiet at night and breakfast is included, adding to the overall value.
No major negatives.

good basic accom in a great location. Very fair value for money.
You have to pay for towels...fair enough in dorms, but in a double room would expect to get a towel...pretty minor issue :)

During my stay, I found the hotel's location in a great area as it was right next to the train station which easily connects you to different areas of this city. Additionally, this hotel had a very clean environment, helpful staff, and offered a decent breakfast which made it a great value for the price.
Nothing to mention.

This hotel offers great value for money. The prices are very reasonable, especially considering the attention to detail that is evident throughout. The location is fantastic, just a short walk from Kings Cross train station. The staff are friendly and provide excellent service. The basic amenities are well-maintained, and the rooms are equipped with fans to keep you cool. I also appreciated the quiet location, ensuring a peaceful night's sleep. The TV channels are varied and even include sports channels for those wanting to catch a game. The rooms have convenient additions like a sink and fridge, and the lockers provide added security. Plus, the breakfast included in the stay was a nice touch.
All was good.

I liked the staff, they were very nice and helpful and wanted to help. Free breakfast was nice too.
I hated the location- it was loud inside and outside every night. People would use the mic when they were drunk and everyone would be very rude at night with considering bed times (even after 12am it was loud). Our biggest regret was buying a shuttle to the airport that never showed and when we called about it, the shuttle service said they didn't know about our location and we almost missed our flight. We were told this was a very reliable service and we were left outside for almost an hour. The location though was the worst. I wouldn't recommend anyone to stay in the area because it's scary even going out alone.
